stories into a complex emotional plot is an endlessly challenging
and stimulating occupation.

I'm
writing a
new Superromance
which will be out in 2010. Title and release date TBA. It's
a heart-warming story about a woman doctor and her teenage
son making a new life for themselves in a small Australian
town - with the help and hindrance of the local hunk.
In
2009 I'll also be teaching a romance
writing course at the Victorian
Writer's Centre in Swanston Street, Melbourne.
The
'Year of Romance' course will
comprise 5x bimonthly workshop sessions held between March
- November where students are taken through the process of
'the idea' through to project completion or MS first draft.
Alongside the creative process, participants also learn how
to market their work, prepare submissions, research, publishing
opps, etc. This course is tailored towards early and emerging
writers. The dates are as follows: Sundays, 10 am-4 pm; March
15, May 10, July 12, September 13, November 15. For more info

So
what was I doing in 2008? I've been writing a single title
contemporary romance on spec. This magnum opus is now finished
and I'm looking for an agent to represent it. More info will
be posted as things progress. For now I'll just say it's action-packed,
both funny and emotional with a gorgeous hero and an endearing
heroine. And yes, this is the pink diamond book I've alluded
to previously. Now, no more, or I'll jinx it by talking about
it before it sells!
